Orbit Portable Lamp: Rechargeable Lighting Anywhere

Quick answer

The Orbit portable lamp is a lightweight, rechargeable cordless lamp that you can tilt to turn on, off, or switch between three light modes.

How to use the Orbit portable lamp effectively

1. Choose the right spot: Place the lamp on a stable, flat surface away from direct heat sources or moisture. Because it is cordless, you can set it on a bookshelf, coffee table, or outdoor dining table. Avoid placing the lamp near open windows or damp areas, as it is not rated for outdoor use in rain.
2. Turn on and adjust brightness: Gently tilt the lamp to turn it on. Tilt it again to cycle through the three light modes: low, medium, and high. A third tilt turns it off. A common mistake is tilting too hard; a light touch is all that is needed to change modes.
3. Charge the battery: When the light dims or stops responding, plug the lamp into a USB charger (cable included). A full charge takes about 3–4 hours and provides several hours of continuous use on a single mode. Do not leave the lamp plugged in after it is fully charged; this can shorten battery life over time.
4. Clean and store properly: Wipe the plastic and brass parts with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Store the lamp in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads, as they can scratch the plastic surface and dull the brass finish.
